Compulsory Rules and Regulations for Eastern & Western Resident Servitors of the Math.

1.) As appropriate, everyone should give respect to one another whether junior or senior, and go on witli Hari Kirtan and a chaste life in the Math considering oneself “more humble than a blade of grass and as tolerant as a tree”. To criticize others or, discuss the defects of others, and idle talks are strictly to be avoided.

2) Bad association is to be avoided at all times; especially association of betrayers of the Acharya and the association of persons who are unchaste or of loose character must be shunned like poison. Bad association is the worst enemy and the destroyer of devotion.

3) All persons must always join without fail, Mangal aroti, parikrama, class and kirtan. If anyone fails to do so, they must fast from breakfast prasada.

4) Prasad seva must be punctually attended with full regard. Breakfast prasad 7:30 – 8:30 am.

5) The English preaching program will be held daily at Sri Samadhi Temple from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

6)The worship of the Deities will be completed 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., and Boga aroti must be performed by 12:00 noon.

7) Noon prasada should be respected from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

8) From 2:00 – 3:30 PM ISTAGOSTHI discussion of Krsna conscious matters and Japa. At this time, audio & video tape presentations may be arranged.

9) The Deities will be awakened at 4:00 p.m. and Srimad Bhagavatam class will be held up to 5:00 p.m.

10) Sandya aroti will be performed at 6:00 PM and after the circumambulation of the temples and Tulasi devi will be conducted.

11) The western devotes shall respect evening prasad at 7:50 PM.

12) By 9:(X) PM evening class and kirtan will be completed and then prasad will be respected by the local devotees.

13) One plate of the Deity-Mahaprasad will be kept aside with full regard for special necessities (guests to eat).

14) No one will take prasada in the room reserved for storing prasada.

15) All will take prasada taking their appropriate seats. Sick persons may take as necessary.

16) Two meetings for open discussion will be held twice monthly. Everyone may join triose meetings and voice any preference or difficulties. Special needs may be unhesitatingly voiced directly to the secretary as convenient.

17) No one can take the law in their own hands.

18) No one can take any loan at the market or at any other place. The Math authority will not be responsible for that .

19) Sleeping during the day should be avoided by all except for sick persons.

20) No one should go outside the Math for any reason except service duties. Permission must be taken from the authority if anyone needs to go out.

21) Everyone must have a sympathetic and helpful attitude towards newly joined servitors.

22) Everyone must carefully honor and protect the property and paraphernalia of the Math, knowing it to be meant for the Supreme Lords Service.

23) No one should neglect to offer fitting respect, regard, and a proper welcome to either invited or casual guests.

24) If anyone receives any gift or donation, they must deposit it with the secretary. No one can keep any personal collection of monies or items, or keep a private account.
