“It is verified.” by Swami B. K. Giri

My dandavats,

I have sometimes made the point that disciples should not be overly interested in their param guru(s), a disciple’s connection is with his immediate guru.
While doing some reading this morning I found confirmation of that point:

A disciple’s connection is with his immediate guru, not a param guru.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: I remember one time Kārttikeya Mahārāja was chanting to a picture of Bhaktisiddhānta. You chastised him and said, “What is your connection with Bhaktisiddhānta? Your connection is with me.”

Prabhupāda: Who said?

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: You did.

Sudāmā: You did. I remember.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: When Kārttikeya Mahārāja was chanting to your guru mahārāja’s picture, you said, “How you can connect with him? Your connection is with me.” (end)

As Srila Govinda Maharaja said “My father is my father.”

Disciple not will think, “My guru is small guru and Swami Maharaja is big guru.” That is offense to guru.

Disciple must think, “My guru is the supreme.” And, there, in the [parampara], my guru’s guru. My father is my father. It is very easy thing to understand. My grandfather may be a king. But, my father is my father.Read More...

Srila Giri Maharaja “Krishna Consciousness and Householder Life”

BKG Ukraine

Date: 9/3/16

Dear Sriman Jagadananda dasa Adhikari,

Please accept my blessings and well-wishes.

I read your below email soon after I received it. Unfortunately I could not reply immediately. I also felt some of your concerns would work themselves out over time by the influence of your sadhana and, through your devotion, Krishna would reveal something within you to satisfy your heart’s inquiries.

It is the tendency of children to want immediate gratification. We are, in many ways, like children. When we discover the precepts of Krishna Consciousness through reading the scriptures, developing faith in Sri Guru, Vaishnavas, etc., we must be excited to learn that there is a source of answers for all our questions, doubts and concerns. Not only that, but the source is impeccable, infallible and absolute. Why then should I not get immediate and perfect answers to all the inquiries needed to feel fully satisfied?

We feel the need to surrender, following the Lord’s instruction sarva dharman parityaja… . Having heard His perfect instruction, with the obvious truth of it resonating with our heart’s desire to be a soul surrendered to the all-perfect, loving, beautiful and sweet Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, which is also our obvious relationship with Him, we conceive of our tendency towards such surrender to be very strong and certain.

Srila Giri Maharaja “Srimati Lalita Devi’s Avirbhava Maha-Mahotsava”

BKGPranams

On hearing of Sripada Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaja’s disappearance I sent the following message to Sriman Uddharan dasa Adhikari. I believe it is also appropriate with respect to today’s celebration of Sri Lalita Devi’s avirbhava maha mahotsava.

Anyone who knows him (Sripada B.P. Aranya Maharaja) will remember him as a gentle Vaishnava who had no malice in his heart and who was very kind and gracious to everyone who had the good fortune to enter his orb of influence.

As an example; once while I was doing some seva in Govardhana we went on a pilgrimage of Vrndavana. I always kept close to Sripada Aranya Maharaja, who often took my hand to help him up some steps, onto a rickshaw, etc. After visiting Varshana, where I helped his Holiness up each of what might be hundreds of steps, we went to Srimati Lalita Devi’s birth place. It was Srila Prabhupada’s (Swami Maharaja’s) avirbhava and I planned to fast until noon. But here prasadam was being served at the place Srila Govinda Maharaja once told Srila Sridhara Maharaja was his favorite place in Vrndavana. We had been walking around the temple grounds with Sripada Aranya Maharaja holding my hand or arm the whole time.… Read More...

The dissapearance of Om Vishnupada Paramahamsa Srila Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaja

On the 24th August 2016 at 07.35am in Navadwip Dharma, West Bengal, India, Sripada Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaja passed away from this world, causing deep feelings of separation and sadness for those who knew and loved him for his simplicity, humility, faithfulness and unalloyed pure hearted devotion to his beloved Gurudeva, Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaja.

Sripada Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaja was one of Srila Sridhara Maharaja’s earliest disciples, perhaps the very first, and one who Srila Govinda Maharaja noted was always faithful to him (Srila Govinda Maharaja).

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu asked, “Of all kinds of distress, what is the most painful?”
Śrī Rāmānanda Rāya replied, “Apart from separation from the devotee of Kṛṣṇa, I know of no unbearable unhappiness.” (CC-2:8:248).

Sripada Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaja, ki jaya!
