Srila B.K. Giri ”Why I will not visit the Navadwipa Math”

Recently I received this comment from someone calling himself Swami B.A Keshav:

sad you seem so angry.
why not go to India and make amends you are well-come always as an acarya at sri chaitanya saraswat math, please not to air your dirty laundry in public

These remarks are at once childish, foolish, ill-defined, imprecise, ill-informed and misdirected. For now I leave it to you to decide which of my terms should be applied to his various scattered thoughts, conclusions and invectives. I may reply further in the future but for now will only briefly address one item I find to be well deserving of broader dissemination and understanding.

”[W]hy not go to India and make amends you are well-come always as an acarya at sri chaitanya saraswat math,”

Although I have already spoken and written extensively on the points, I have yet to offer the following explanation given by Srila Sridhara Maharaja. A careful reading of it will be sufficient to understand why I have, for many years now, avoided “sri chaitanya saraswat math” in India and elsewhere.

Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja: . . .

Our duty here only. None of us, not necessarily we went there in the samādhi of Prabhupāda. We did not go. In our own place. That he’s not located, though some utility still, the more presence is in the sincere attempt of service.

Just as Mahāprabhu’s Viṣṇu Prīya installed Mūrti is there, but we do not go there. Those Govinda, Gopīnātha, Madana Mohana, in Vṛndāvana, Rūpa Goswāmī, Sanātana Goswāmī, Jīva Goswāmī, established, but we do not necessarily go there. Because the service mixed with some offence is being done. That is our vision, so we don’t partake. Hare Kṛṣṇa.

And our Guru Mahārāja when his Gaurakiśora Bābājī’s samādhi mandira was in Kuliyā, in town, but there arose a difference within the servitors. Those that had got command over the land, they did not accept Prabhupāda’s preaching principle. So Prabhupāda left the place, with this remark that, “Bābājī Mahārāja has gone away from this place.” That was his remark, that, “Bābājī Mahārāja is no longer staying in this temple of his samādhi. He has already gone away.”

Everywhere sincerity, purity of the purpose is concerned. Gaura Hari bol. Gaura Hari bol. Gaura Hari bol.

The salient points.

First:

“Because the service mixed with some offence is being done. That is our vision, so we don’t partake.”

Next:

“Bābājī Mahārāja is no longer staying in this temple of his samādhi. He has already gone away.”

As this was the vision of Srila Saraswati Thakura in relation to his guru, so too is mine in relation to Srila Sridhara Maharaja and Srila Govinda Maharaja, they are no longer staying at Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math Navadwipa, they have ”already gone away.”

Last:

“But these feelings must be sincere, otherwise have got difficulty.”

These are my sincere feelings.

N.B. Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami avoided visiting the Samadhi Mandira of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakura at Sri Chaitanya Math even as he passed by it on the road.

During all the happy times I did visit the many Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Maths, it was never with the expectation of being welcomed as an acharya. It was always in the hope that I might serve the Acharya. That remains my hope.
